Wolof

Provides an introduction to the basic language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing). A proficiency-oriented approach is used in the course.

Solidifies the skills acquired in Wolof 001, with focus on vocabulary expansion and fluency. Prerequisite: Wolof 001

Enhances speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Wolof. Cultural activities are included.

Expands the skills acquired in WOLO 003, with with formulation of more complex thoughts, usage of richer vocabulary and incorporation of cultural excursions. Prerequisite: Wolof 003.

Focuses on the review and practice of major structural elements of Wolof language.

Focuses on speaking and listening skills through a variety of instructional strategies. Students are able to communicate in the target language with ease on a variety of topics. Prerequisite: WOLOF 040 or Instructor's permission.

Focuses on fluency, pronunciation and listening comprehension within a specific context of the target language

Fosters the abilities to conduct independent study/research on a Hispanic theme under the guidance of a faculty advisor. Prerequisites: Permission of instructor.
