Human Development (B.S. / M.S.W.)

The BS in human development is ecologically oriented and focuses on the study of individuals and families from a multidisciplinary perspective. Students may choose to concentrate on infancy, childhood, adolescence, or adult development. Specializations focus on developmental processes throughout the life-cycle and interpersonal relationships within the context of the family and other human/environmental settings, with special reference to African-American and underserved populations. The program offers an Honors Program, providing the opportunity for students to enhance their research skills, and a 5-year accelerated dual degree program with a BS and MSW in Human Development.
