SCHM 341 : Quality & Reliability Mgmt

Prepares students to examine Total Quality and Reliability Management, quality processes deployment, continuous improvement and various approaches to quality design of processes and products. Additionally, concurrent product development and the integration of quality, quality analysis tools, statistical process controls, process capability studies, supplier quality assurance approaches, ISO 9000 series, and quality as a business strategy are also examined in this course. Elements of Lean Management are also covered in context to the entire supply chain. This includes identifying opportunities to implement lean operations and processes in a global supply chain. Six Sigma processes are also covered in this course which prepares students to take the certification test upon completion of this course. This course is taken by Supply Chain Management seniors during the spring semester.
