Architecture & Design Studies (BSADS +)
The Department of Architecture offers a program of study leading to the five-year Master of Architecture, 1st Professional degree accredited by the National Architectural Accreditation Board (NAAB). The program places emphasis on student competence in the following program areas: design, inquiry/research, architectural history and theory, sustainability, environmental justice, technical systems, digital technology and professional practice. Study in these areas provides the student with fundamental design and communication skills through critical thinking, conflict resolution, visual literacy, knowledge of forces that shape the built environment and influence societal affairs and the impact of new technologies in an ever- changing world.
