MATH 014 : Intro. to Data Science

Fundamental coursework on the standards and practices for collecting, organizing, managing, exploring, and using data. Topics include preparation, analysis, and visualization of data and creating analysis tools for larger data sets using Python. Students will acquire a working knowledge of data science through hands-on projects and case studies in a variety of business, engineering, social sciences, or life sciences domains. Issues of ethics, leadership, and teamwork are highlighted.
