ENGW 103 : Persuasive Writing and Research
The second course of the two-semester required writing course requirement for First-Year Writing. Build on the study of rhetoric begun in ENGW 101 or 102. Study argumentation and persuasive writing techniques, in addition to the conventions of academic research. Examine counterarguments, explore primary and secondary sources, and learn academic style conventions. Engage in discussion of contemporary issues through class discussion and their writing.
Prerequisites/Permissions
Prerequisite: Successful completion of ENGW 101 or 102 with a grade of or higher. Note: Successful completion of this First Year Writing course requires a grade of or higher.
