CHIN 002 : Chinese II

Reinforces the range of skills practiced in Chinese 001 while focusing on expanding the students' vocabulary and fluency. The emphasis is on active participation as a means of expanding speaking, listening, reading and writing skills introduced in Chinese 001. Students are prepared to handle real situations in foreign culture. Prerequisite: CHIN 001

CHIN 003 : Chinese III

Strengthens the development of audio-lingual and written skills, with reading, oral discussion and presentation of grammar. Students continue to appreciate the richness of the target community. It further enhance speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Chinese with an inclusion of cultural activities. Prerequisite: CHIN 002

CHIN 004 : Chinese IV

Elevates the study of the Chinese language with an audiovisual approach. Literary texts are studied. Allows students to communicate information on a variety of topics, familiar and unfamiliar, with confidence and ease. Prerequisite: CHIN 003
